She jumped at the electrical current and tried to tug her hand away. "Damn!"

"Oh come on," He said with a laugh. "It tickled." He got up and righted the lamp, turning it back and as if nothing had happened.

He looked sympathetic. He knew how much it sucked to have something you thought was the best thing that ever happened to you ripped away without warning. "Wanna watch a movie or something?"
