I'm done.

I'm not arguing, I'm not fighting, I'm not defending... Nothing.

I'm not getting into this stuff in other people's posts, I won't be reading or getting involved with threads that get unpleasant, and I don't want any of it here.

I'm staying out of it.

You're all my friends. I care about all of you very much and I'm not going to stop being friends with anyone. I wish very much that you all could get along, but I understand that this is probably an unrealistic expectation. However, if we could all just behave in a civilized manner and put our big girl and boy panties on and act like reasonable adults it would let my stomach settle down so maybe I could eat again sometime in the next month or so.

As my foster mother always used to say, 'If you can't say anything nice, don't say anything at all.'

Now. Anyone want to do something fun with me?

Sweetheart, given that I am what I am and meddling is a hobby of mine, but I do have to remind you that there are some issues which will not go away simply by ignoring them. I can understand your sentiment, but I hope that you are considering the finer points of both arguments.

If someone would like to talk - and I stress the word talk - to me privately about any issue, I'm more than happy to listen and discuss.

But I'm not fighting, and I'm not getting involved with fighting.

Trading nasty barbs doesn't get anyone anywhere and only makes me sick to my stomach and I'm sure you don't want to see me turning my nose up at good food.

Define 'having fun.' Not that I'm trying to doubt you, but I've had a lot of friends whose idea of having fun didn't always align with my own.

You know, when my brothers and sisters get into fights, I usually pick them up by their shirts and knock their heads together. Not enough to hurt, but it sure as hell gets their attention so they can sit in their time out and think about what they did.

I guess it's tougher when it's your friends to do that kind of thing, but I'm sure there's some way of getting them to realize they're just being unreasonable.
