18 Howls: Accidental Video Post

Viewers can see a pair of legs sticking out from under a partially constructed VW Bug. Occasionally, as Mercy struggles with a particularly recalcitrant part, someone might see her shirt ride up enough to expose the coyote tattoo low on her abdomen.

After a while there's a loud sound of something breaking off, the sound of a heavy wrench hitting flesh, and a flurry of mechanic's power words as Mercy pulls herself out from under the car, shaking her rapidly bruising hand.

Damn!

She moves out of frame for a moment, then returns to sit by the car, holding a bottle of ice cold water against her hand.

Guess that's a sign I need to take a break.

Her eyes drift up to the network device and she laughs as she reaches for it.

Oh geez. Of course it would have to be on. Nice, City.

And the video clicks off.

Finding parts here must be pretty hard. I know a few people get them from the underground.

I can heal pretty quickly, it only took me a bit more than last weekend to get back normal.

Ask him again? Or I'm sure Thomas could figure out a way.

That's the one thing I do wish I had.

I suppose I could ask him, but he just got me Medea and I don't want to give him anything else he can kind of hold over me. You know, 'I'll do this for you if you stop seeing Thomas' or whatever.

It comes in handy. Also makes drinking a lot more fun, heightened metabolism means it's really hard for me to get drunk.

He'd seriously do that? I'm sorry.

I'd guess he probably could if he could find them. I doubt the Underground would be dangerous for him, it isn't that bad for me. Or I know a guy, Remy, who might know where to get things.

I don't drink anymore. Maybe half a beer or half a glass of wine from time to time, but that's it. Not smart to get drunk when you're keeping secrets.

I don't know. But he said some things in a post that made me wonder. And just in general he does too much for me. I like to pull my own weight.

Remy, yeah, actually, I think he might have been the one Kyle hired to get this stuff.

I've probably drank too much lately, it's easy when you don't end up ridiculously drunk. I've never had the secret problem, I can still keep mine.

That must be a bit awkward. I hope that wasn't a reason he did that.

You could try asking Remy yourself sometime. Or if you can find someone that knows where to find them in the Underground I could go. I spend sometime down there.

Yeah, I try to keep myself alert as much as possible. if it was just me and my secrets that would be one thing, but it's not.

I don't know. He's a good guy and I love him dearly. I just don't get why he's so wigged out about Thomas.

Maybe I will. Gotta save up a bit more money first anyway.
