Better hearing and eyesight, much better sense of smell.

I'm a little stronger and faster than average, too.

Not as much as the werewolves are, but more than human normal.

It's genetic for me. Werewolves have to be turned. It's a pretty vicious process.

No, in my world I'm what's called a Feral. I'm of the feline classification.

Mine's genetic but not hereditary. It was done by genetic tampering. Like in the myths?

Attempting to play God? Some of the scientists thought they were trying to find a cure for diseases. The real reasons were more in the making weapons area.

They know about the fae. Some of them at least. The gentle not-so-powerful ones. The rest are still hidden.

They sort of... came out of the closet about twenty years ago.

What they just hold a press conference and announce they exist? How'd they prove it?

One of them was accused of murder. They showed in court how he couldn't have possibly used the garden shears because even through gloves the iron in it burned him dreadfully.

They chose to come out then because he was a sweet unassuming non-scary fae.

They're not all like him. But most of the others - the ugly or very powerful - are still unknown to the public.

Depends. My boss is a Mettalzauber, one of the metal working fae. I've never seen what he truly looks like, all fae have glamour to hide what they are.

But some of them could rip your head off without even thinking about it.
