Somebody told me to give it a week or two and then I'd really be homesick. Boy, were they right.

I miss working at my garage and I miss my single-wide and I miss Medea - damn I miss my cat.

I even miss Samuel and Adam getting at each other and that shows sheer desperation.

Anyone want to distract a girl? Tell me a good place to go or something I should see or visit? Watch a movie with me?

You happen to know a girl name Rachel? She works there, from my world.

X-Factor huh? I wonder how many different versions of that they've had. Jamie's from my world. I happened to skim over his post about that, considered asking about it but I wasn't pleased with somethings he said.

I don't believe I've met her, no.

Really? Is he not a good guy?

No, Jamie's a good guy. X-Factor's a good organization I'm sure. I just didn't like the way he treated Remy.

Ah, okay. Well, that'll make Kyle feel a little better at least.

X-Factor isn't a bad organization, not really familiar with this version much but I'm sure it's a good one. It's just that Remy outweighs almost everyone else from our world here and I don't take kindly to people not treating him well.

Yeah? Are they all made up of people like you guys?

Yes. I'm an X-Man. I'd say I was but it's kind of once an X-Man always an X-Man type thing. But I've been off on my own for some time now.

You mean you've never been to space? Or alternate dimensions?! Simple is really really good sometimes.

Dealt with werewolf pack politics of all sorts and was unlucky enough to have to visit the depths of a vampire seethe, but space and alternate dimensions? No.

And before I came here I would have said that was impossible.

Politics? That's the real horror there.

In my life I've learned nothing is impossible.

Well, with werewolves it often comes with a fair amount of bloodshed.

Yeah, I'm starting to get that feeling.

I thought all politics did? In my world it's getting pretty messy in general right now. What kind of politics was it if you don't mind telling me?

At least you seem to be adjusting well.

The Marrock, the head of all the werewolf packs, is planning to take them public in sometime less than a year. Not everyone approves of this. Mix that in with someone finding a way to drug a werewolf - which had never been done before - and a desperate guy trying to save his father at the expense of al else and... you get quite a mess.

Especially when you bring vampires into the mix.

Yeah? I'm trying.

Going public? I'd have to agree with the people who don't approve. Mutants are public and they hate us. You can't drug werewolves?

Vampires too?

A lot of the wrong people already know about them. And with forensics getting so much better it's only a matter of time before they're exposed. Better to do it in our own way so we can control it.

And there I go talking like I'm one of them. Too much time with Adam and Samuel I guess.

Nope. Their metabolism is too fast. But some... bastards... found a way to get across the blood barrier and attach silver to it in some way so that they can. Of course, too much silver exposure and they die, but they didn't really seem to care so much about that.

Vampires, yes, and the fae. The fae already went public a number of years ago. Well, at least the less dangerous of them.

That's what the thought was when mutants went public. They'd have figured out anyway eventually better to just come out and say then have a huge scare.

How true is the bite from a werewolf changes someone into one myth? I've always wondered.

Why would someone do that?

Your world isn't near as normal as I'd been thinking.

Yeah, well, I trust Bran to do what's right. He's lived a very long time and he's a very smart man.

Well, at least where I'm from that's totally untrue. The only way to turn is to be so badly hurt by a werewolf that you either die or whatever causes it turns you and heals you. People who want to turn - sons and daughters of werewolves... A lot of them don't make it when they try. It's... hard. incredibly hard.

They wanted to be able to control the werewolves. if you can shoot them with a tranq and take them out...

Yeah. Not so much.

I hope it goes well

The myths make it sound a lot better I think.

You mean use them as weapons?
