5 Howls: Homesick

Somebody told me to give it a week or two and then I'd really be homesick. Boy, were they right.

I miss working at my garage and I miss my single-wide and I miss Medea - damn I miss my cat.

I even miss Samuel and Adam getting at each other and that shows sheer desperation.

Anyone want to distract a girl? Tell me a good place to go or something I should see or visit? Watch a movie with me?

Medea was special. She loved anyone who'd give her some attention and love.

But yeah, most cats hate coyotes.

I can imagine that the feeling is mutual. Cats are miserable creatures. They care only about themselves and satisfying their own whims. Each one believes that he or she should still be rightfully worshiped as a god. No thanks to the Egyptians.

She adopted me. Now she refuses to leave. And she isn't a normal cat-- she is a homicidal mummified bitch from the depths of Hades. I ought to get her a nicer collar here, soon.

She's a sweetheart when you get to know her. Perhaps.

And I don't like pets in general. They tend to want attention. Which distracts attention from where it truly belongs.

I could take what I wanted to. But there is no pleasure if it isn't given freely and enjoyed mutually. As much as I would enjoy a roll in the clover with you, I would prefer your willing company over a Sachertorte and a red wine.

I'm glad you feel that way. I enjoy talking to you and I'd hate to have to stop because I was worried you wouldn't respect my choices.

And I'm definitely willing company for the latter.

Respecting your choices is another matter entirely. I can grudgingly admit defeat when it is necessary. Begging would be a waste of energy.
