I think you covered the important parts with the first few sentences, and I don't think there's an alpha around here, not the way you seem to mean it. I could be wrong and he or she hasn't caught me running around the woods and tried to beat me up yet.

Good to know.

I was actually raised in a werewolf pack - my Mom's uncle had her send me there when I was a baby - and they're pretty darn picky about other wolves - or coyotes - showing up and not presenting themselves right away to the alpha.

And don't they just like to try and control every aspect of your life. No offense.

Except for speed. I can outrun pretty much any wolf easily.

It sounds like my weres are different. They... they can't control it all the time. They're a lot more like real wolves, they can't just reason it out, especially in wolf form, but even in human.

You should see the way Samuel and Adam get when they're together.
