There is the clanking of metal, a few mechanics' 'power words', and a pair of feet sticking out from underneath some sort of metal... thing. After some time Mercy appears from underneath what will hopefully one day be a VW, cleaning her hands off on a dirty cloth tucked in her back pocket.

Oh, you're going to be a beauty one day. Yes, you are. And don't be intimidated by the Jag over there. It never got half as much love, blood, sweat, and tears put into it as you will.

There's been a little less tension in the house, which is good. The smell of it was overwhelming. Made me want to run away all the time.

Kyle somehow got a whole bunch of original parts for me, but there's a lot missing. It'll be a long time before she's more than just a pile of parts.
