5 Howls: Homesick

Somebody told me to give it a week or two and then I'd really be homesick. Boy, were they right.

I miss working at my garage and I miss my single-wide and I miss Medea - damn I miss my cat.

I even miss Samuel and Adam getting at each other and that shows sheer desperation.

Anyone want to distract a girl? Tell me a good place to go or something I should see or visit? Watch a movie with me?

You can always stop by and if you don't like it there's a ton of other places around. I hear the ...Lux I think? Is fun for some people.

An investigation agency here? Mind me asking who the guy is?

[identity profile] coyote-walking.livejournal.com 2009-06-30 03:51 am (UTC)(link)
I'm helping out at the Lux while some people are still out sick. My friend Kyle is their accountant.

Yeah, it's called x-factor investigations. Someone named Jamie Madrox. Seems like a decent enough guy.

[identity profile] ex-rogueinte76.livejournal.com 2009-06-30 04:03 am (UTC)(link)
You happen to know a girl name Rachel? She works there, from my world.

X-Factor huh? I wonder how many different versions of that they've had. Jamie's from my world. I happened to skim over his post about that, considered asking about it but I wasn't pleased with somethings he said.

[identity profile] coyote-walking.livejournal.com 2009-06-30 04:05 am (UTC)(link)
I don't believe I've met her, no.

Really? Is he not a good guy?

[identity profile] ex-rogueinte76.livejournal.com 2009-06-30 04:09 am (UTC)(link)
No, Jamie's a good guy. X-Factor's a good organization I'm sure. I just didn't like the way he treated Remy.

[identity profile] coyote-walking.livejournal.com 2009-06-30 04:10 am (UTC)(link)
Ah, okay. Well, that'll make Kyle feel a little better at least.

[identity profile] ex-rogueinte76.livejournal.com 2009-06-30 04:15 am (UTC)(link)
X-Factor isn't a bad organization, not really familiar with this version much but I'm sure it's a good one. It's just that Remy outweighs almost everyone else from our world here and I don't take kindly to people not treating him well.

We have a lot of X teams back home.

[identity profile] coyote-walking.livejournal.com 2009-06-30 04:31 am (UTC)(link)
Yeah? Are they all made up of people like you guys?

[identity profile] ex-rogueinte76.livejournal.com 2009-06-30 04:32 am (UTC)(link)
Yes. I'm an X-Man. I'd say I was but it's kind of once an X-Man always an X-Man type thing. But I've been off on my own for some time now.

[identity profile] coyote-walking.livejournal.com 2009-06-30 04:38 am (UTC)(link)
You'll have to tell me more sometime.

[identity profile] ex-rogueinte76.livejournal.com 2009-06-30 04:39 am (UTC)(link)
Never a dull moment in the life of the X-Men.

[identity profile] coyote-walking.livejournal.com 2009-06-30 04:40 am (UTC)(link)
And me just a simple car mechanic.

[identity profile] ex-rogueinte76.livejournal.com 2009-06-30 04:45 am (UTC)(link)
You mean you've never been to space? Or alternate dimensions?! Simple is really really good sometimes.

[identity profile] coyote-walking.livejournal.com 2009-06-30 04:47 am (UTC)(link)
Dealt with werewolf pack politics of all sorts and was unlucky enough to have to visit the depths of a vampire seethe, but space and alternate dimensions? No.

And before I came here I would have said that was impossible.

[identity profile] ex-rogueinte76.livejournal.com 2009-06-30 04:49 am (UTC)(link)
Politics? That's the real horror there.

In my life I've learned nothing is impossible.

[identity profile] coyote-walking.livejournal.com 2009-06-30 04:51 am (UTC)(link)
Well, with werewolves it often comes with a fair amount of bloodshed.

Yeah, I'm starting to get that feeling.

[identity profile] ex-rogueinte76.livejournal.com 2009-06-30 04:52 am (UTC)(link)
I thought all politics did? In my world it's getting pretty messy in general right now. What kind of politics was it if you don't mind telling me?

At least you seem to be adjusting well.

[identity profile] coyote-walking.livejournal.com 2009-06-30 01:12 pm (UTC)(link)
The Marrock, the head of all the werewolf packs, is planning to take them public in sometime less than a year. Not everyone approves of this. Mix that in with someone finding a way to drug a werewolf - which had never been done before - and a desperate guy trying to save his father at the expense of al else and... you get quite a mess.

Especially when you bring vampires into the mix.

Yeah? I'm trying.

[identity profile] ex-rogueinte76.livejournal.com 2009-06-30 02:51 pm (UTC)(link)
Going public? I'd have to agree with the people who don't approve. Mutants are public and they hate us. You can't drug werewolves?

Vampires too?

[identity profile] coyote-walking.livejournal.com 2009-06-30 02:55 pm (UTC)(link)
A lot of the wrong people already know about them. And with forensics getting so much better it's only a matter of time before they're exposed. Better to do it in our own way so we can control it.

And there I go talking like I'm one of them. Too much time with Adam and Samuel I guess.

Nope. Their metabolism is too fast. But some... bastards... found a way to get across the blood barrier and attach silver to it in some way so that they can. Of course, too much silver exposure and they die, but they didn't really seem to care so much about that.

Vampires, yes, and the fae. The fae already went public a number of years ago. Well, at least the less dangerous of them.

[identity profile] ex-rogueinte76.livejournal.com 2009-06-30 06:48 pm (UTC)(link)
That's what the thought was when mutants went public. They'd have figured out anyway eventually better to just come out and say then have a huge scare.

How true is the bite from a werewolf changes someone into one myth? I've always wondered.

Why would someone do that?

Your world isn't near as normal as I'd been thinking.
